Jake Crum began his professional career as a Sales and Service Engineer for oil field drilling tools. Jake then became an Engineer II, Composite Structures with an aerospace company located in the western United States. He has accumulated over 20 years experience in manufacturing both solid fuel rocket motors for defense & space applications, as well as residential & commercial building products. He has progressed through manufacturing supervision, technical management and executive management. Jake has authored a number of technical white papers, management position papers and manufacturing training modules for intra-company publication. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Weber State University.

Prior to becoming a freelance writer, Jake was a General Manager for a large regional home builder. He has also done extensive remodels of five residential properties. Since beginning his writing career, Jake has completed projects in online marketing, ad writing, and SEO, as well as ghost written an E-book.

An avid golfer, Jake also lives for travel when not consulting or writing about engineering, manufacturing or a variety of other topics. He's been to 47 states (he still needs ME, WV & VT), 16 countries, five continents (including Antarctica) and recently completed both a one month visit to Italy and two months in South America (including one round of golf each in Argentina and Chile).
